How to make bilingual subtitles from two files

If you already have source and translated subtitles, align the files instead of transcribing the video again.
Check the video edition
Both tracks should match the same edit. Fix a constant offset first. Deleted scenes require local timing corrections.
Import both tracks
Choose two SRT or VTT files in the bilingual merger. Select the top and bottom language order. Alignment is based on timestamps, not language labels.
Review unmatched sections
One-to-many cues are split at time boundaries. Single-language intervals are kept. Review short intervals and long text before exporting.
